Limpertite A3 Synthetic Rubber

Coating Characteristics

Hardness:   60-70 B.S Hardness measured on 0.75mm coating on steel. 60 shore ‘A’ hardness.
Abrasion Resistance:
The following extract is from a major Engineering company’s test report “The Limpetite® coated samples show the best resistance to sand erosion when compared with all other non-metallic samples. They were subjected to a hydro-blast of 180MPH with a sand content of 75lbs per minute of 2000psi. The steel wore away at a far greater rate than the rubber.”

Curing Period:
3-4 days minimum at ambient temperatures. Fully cured properties are developed in approx 14 days.
Tensile strength:
  In excess of 1000psi
Temperature Range:
  Min 0° C, Max 100° C
Lining Thickness:
Minimum DFT recommended is 0.75mm.  Normally 1.5mm DFT on sea water applications
Electrical Testing:
Electrical strength 9-10KV per mm measured to BS2782 Part 11 method 201C.
Weight:
  Approximate weight 1.8kg/mm/m2
